About the Area

Greensboro is located in north-central North Carolina, 30 miles east of Winston-Salem, 75 miles west of Raleigh and 80 miles northeast of Charlotte. It was officially established in 1808 and named after Revolutionary War patriot commander Nathaniel Greene. The population of Greensboro is approximately 250,000 and the area enjoys energetic and expansive growth. The Piedmont Triad region, which is made up of the larger cities of Greensboro, High Point and Winston-Salem, consistently ranks among the best places in the country to live and do business.
