Welcome
How true are the words of St. Francis of Assisi, "For it is in giving
that we receive." With this said, I encourage you to get involved
at Canterbury School — you will notice immediately that there is great
strength and unity in our community. Whether a food drive for those
in need, the coming together of Canterbury students to raise awareness
and relief for the victims of natural disasters, a special Friday chapel
featuring an eighth grade sermon about the importance of giving back,
the enthusiastic response to community service learning days, or something
as simple as a school-wide potluck dinner, Canterbury School strives
to be a community focused on service.
Similarly, the collective financial support and countless volunteer hours given by our parents, grandparents, and friends have both helped to build and fortify this very special place. Like all independent schools, financial support beyond tuition revenue is necessary for day-to-day operations and to provide for our future. Every volunteer hour and each gift keep the momentum of our school moving forward for the next generation of socially-conscious students, academically and technologically prepared to take the next step.
Canterbury is deeply grateful to all who so generously support the school's needs and aspirations.
Sincerely,
